Value description
Brno continues to be a university city in 2050, to which people from all over the Czech Republic come to study. The city also wisely exploits the potential of the university community (students, professors, researchers of the Academy of Sciences), engages them in civic life (popularization, public debates) and expert decision-making on strategic issues. The city does not lose and further develops areas of excellence (e.g. electron microscopy - companies), creating conditions for emerging businesses.
Contribution to the city
Thanks to arriving young people, Brno and its residents still have sufficient impulses and inspiration, the urban community is "lively". Through the appropriate use of the potential of students, professors and scientists, not only technology firms develop (economic impact), but also high-quality debates on topics impacting on the public and strategic decisions based on long-term outlook and "evidence-based".
