The health value is based on the assumption that a population unit of the city type, if supposed to be prosperous, must pay close attention to the health and social conditions of its residents. Interest in the health of the individual and the population and shared responsibility for the health of all age groups is an indisputable characteristic of a healthy city, as well as a good health and social care system.
Residents will have free access to information on factors that affect their state of health, as well as on lifestyle factors, and on various types of health-prevention and social programmes that improve the health of the population.
Associate Professor Julie Bienertová Vašků works at the Faculty of Medicine of the Masaryk University and at the Research Center of Toxic Substances in the Environment at the Faculty of Science, where she systematically deals with the problems of adipose tissue and related diseases, especially obesity. In this disease, the problem also examines the interaction of the individual's genetic background with external factors. In addition to adipose tissue, the issue of stress and its measurement is at the center of her research interest. Julie Bienertová Vašků is the author of a number of articles in renowned foreign magazines, one international patent and a number of chapters in Czech and foreign monographs.
